Intake Information

Intake and Referral Process

Intake is the process we use to see how we can help you. There are two ways you can contact us for help: by calling us at (505) 256-3100 and requesting an Intake, or by coming to our building for a walk-in Intake.  We are available for both call and walk-in Intakes Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. and 2:00 – 5:00 p.m.  We are closed for lunch daily from 1:00 -2:00 p.m.

At Intake, we will ask you for your name, date of birth, disability, home address, phone number, email, and a description of your problem. We may also ask for your household income and if you receive Social Security benefits. (Your income does not determine if we can help you, but we use the information for internal billing purposes). Your information always stays confidential and is only made available to our staff.

We are located in Albuquerque just south of Eldorado High School.

  • Our services are free and confidential.
  • Each year, DRNM receives more requests for assistance than it have adequate funding and resources to handle. As a result, DRNM cannot provide legal or advocacy representation for every issue that DRNM is requested to review. The matters that DRNM takes on must be consistent with agency priorities. DRNM focuses on issues that have a potential to make systemic change. DRNM prioritizes issues involving people with disabilities who do not have other legal representation. DRNM does not charge clients for its services.
  • Whenever possible, the person with a disability in need of assistance should contact DRNM directly.
  • Please note that contacting DRNM for assistance does not establish an attorney-client relationship with DRNM.
